Description
20–40mm washed round rock, also known as 3/4″ to 1.5″ washed rock, is a natural sedimentary aggregate prized for its excellent drainage, stability, and visual appeal in landscaping and construction projects. Its “washed” designation means it is free from dirt, dust, and clay, making it ideal for clean, high-drainage applications.
This rock is commonly used in garden beds, around trees, and in rock gardens to create a neat, low-maintenance finish that helps suppress weeds and prevent soil erosion. Its larger, rounded shape provides a stable yet permeable surface for walking paths, reducing mud and water pooling. Its smooth, natural appearance also makes it popular for dry riverbeds or lining water features such as ponds and waterfalls. Additionally, it is suitable for stabilizing slopes or runoff-prone areas, as well as for under-deck or shed pad installations where drainage is essential.
Although referred to as washed, these rocks often retain dust from crushing, quarrying, and transport. They can be washed before or after installation or spread in the landscape and naturally cleaned by rainfall over time.
